Me in a nutshell:

What started in 1st grade with Highlights and National Geographic World posters of animals on my bedroom wall in 1970s New Orleans developed into Tiger Beat, Rolling Stone, Mademoiselle, and Vogue on my locker doors in high school in rural Maryland. I’ve always loved magazines: cutting and pasting them. Reading the interviews. I wrote and illustrated my first book about a witch and her cats (two subjects that still fascinate me) in kindergarten. I was hooked.
Books. Writing. Art. 

I wrote articles for my highschool yearbook, studied Anthropology and Creative Writing at the University of Arizona, was a docent at the Arizona State Museum, taught environmental education in the northwoods of Minnesota, and high school English in Maryland before moving to South America in 1993. I spent the next 22 years teaching environmental education and creative writing in the forest highlands of central Argentina and raising my sons in a small town in the hills of Cordoba. Collage art became my medium in 2005 when a few things happened simultaneously: an art class with a collage artist, my cancer diagnosis, our school’s land–a natural preserve–burning in a wildfire.

Cutting paper became my way to create something beautiful from those unexpected disasters. 

And that led to the incredible path of conscious manifestation that Creative Magic shares.

In 2014, I moved back to the US, traded my hiking boots for flip flops and now write, edit, and coach from my beach cottage in southern Florida.
