Lara Wellman is a coach, author, and neurodivergent. After forty years of thinking she was lazy and not designed for success, she reframed how she felt about herself and invited ease into her life. She believes we can all be happier by embracing who we are and letting go of the societal expectations that have made us feel small. In her 15+ years of entrepreneurship, she has supported thousands of people in finding ways to move forward with the next best steps for them so they can lead happier lives. She lives in Ottawa with her husband, three teens, and a Havanese named Ace.

Have you ever felt like you could one day be productive if only you would stop dragging your feet and being lazy?

If you want solutions, but you're not sure you'd even finish a book about how to stop feeling lazy (because THAT'S how easy it is to get distracted, overwhelmed, and off-track), then keep reading.

I'm that person, too, but I've found solutions and ways to be more myself AND find success. I've written this book so that you can start to see that you're not nearly as far into the depths of despair as you might think you are!

Rebecca Claeys

Rebecca Claeys is a Wisdom Steward helping professional women and gender nonconforming people experiencing personal friction claim peace and fulfillment in their lives. She is the creator of the Soul Alchemy Cycle and Founder of Cleopatra’s Seeds, LLC.

After running on the corporate hamster wheel for 20 years chasing the next big career step (what she calls ‘a what’), Rebecca now helps women and gender nonconforming professionals facing burnout to reclaim their core purpose (what she refers to as ‘a why’) so they define their freedom, joy, and success on their terms.

Rebecca’s unique perspective on burnout, examining the root cause rather than following the industry standard of treating symptoms, offers an opportunity to not only address burnout while it’s happening but also a grounded method of avoiding burnout in the first place. Rather than jumping on the well-known burnout/purpose train we all know, she aims to switch that train onto another track by redefining the words and deepening our understanding of why burnout is so pervasive in our society. She doesn’t look for a band-aid solution in her work; she prefers to focus time and energy on real healing.

When what gives way to why

How many times have you been told to just stress less and your burnout will be cured? How well has that worked? How long did it actually work for?

This is not your grandma's burnout book.

In When What Gives Way to Why, Rebecca Claeys explores her personal journey through burnout after taking part in the COVID-19 pandemic response. She digs into why popular wisdom on treating burnout doesn't produce lasting results, and most people slip back into the spiral of fatigue and hopelessness over and over.

Rebecca uses her experience and knowledge as a Registered Nurse to analyze the root cause of burnout and details the recovery method she developed in response to her own ordeal. Her method, the Soul Alchemy Cycle, is focused on finding true healing rather than the standard practice of treating symptoms.

Rebecca's unique perspective on the word purpose is the key to lasting transformation. By redefining the word and how it is used in self-help circles, readers will discover how viewing the world through a slightly different lens opens up a world of freedom and authenticity. This journey empowers the reader to embrace their personal purpose, providing them with a framework that guides future decisions and buffers them from falling back into burnout.

CA values curiosity, compassion, and self-discovery and believes that everyone needs to embark on a journey of navigating their liminal spaces, gaining an empowering perspective, and claiming an authentic life.

When what gives way to why

Do you see them? They’re everywhere! And they’re affecting you, whether you realize it or not. Liminal spaces!

What in the world is liminality, anyway? Liminal spaces are those uncomfortable, seemingly out-of-control, places of transition we all experience. The fact is, most of us are juggling multiple transitions or changes at any one time! And it can feel really… crazy.

You’re not crazy And you’re not alone!

In this compassionate, encouraging quick-read, CA Jalonen holds her reader’s hand along a journey to not only help them see the liminal life they lead, but how they’re responding to it - - and what to do about that!

This book is for anyone who feels like they have tried all the things, are at the end of their rope, and stuck!

“If you feel confused by your responses and reactions to life on a regular basis, or even if you think everything is “fine” (our new 4-letter F-word!), but deep down you know something is just not quite right, I want to tell you there is a better way to live. And I can’t wait to show you how!”

David Williams

David Williams is the organizer and leader of the American Peace March. He grew up in the San Fernando Valley of Los Angeles, where he earned a degree in Chemistry with Honors from CSUN. Over the last 50 years in the American Peace Movement, he has met and worked with leading spiritual and scientific leaders of our time to realize the vision of peace shared by native peoples around the world.

His astonishing 1973 clairaudient perception of the sound of Torahk led him to research and develop the Chemical Physics understanding depicted by four equations, his Tetron Natural Unified Field Theory. This is about the human mind’s consciousness orientation function of light which defines the identity of each observer and the mind-matter relationship responsible for “miracles” according to the Law of Nature.

His Tetron theory was inspired by Einstein’s vision of a simple set of equations to describe all events in nature, no matter where or when, with 100% certainty.

He assisted Hopi Interpreter Thomas Banyacya for 30 years and became the main coordinator of the United Nations 50th Anniversary Global Peace Walk from New York to San Francisco. He was also instrumental in getting public recognition of the Free Energy Technologies acknowledged by the US Department of Energy, as mentioned in the 1998 US Comprehensive National Energy Strategy.

The American Peace Movement will help Restore the Great Law of Peace, symbolized by the Tree of Peace planted about a thousand years ago by the Peacemaker when he united the warring tribes in tranquility as the Iroquois Confederacy. This by promoting the olive Tree of Peace campaign to plant olive trees to symbolize the Great Law of Peace, to Unite All the Nations in Peace, starting with the nations of the three faiths of Jerusalem as predicted in the prophecies of God's Peace Plan for the Holy Land: The Jerusalem Confederacy. (GodsPeacePlan.org)

When what gives way to why

This book is about how my experiences fulfilling the Hopi Life Plan Prophecy led me to Bruce DePalma’s Free Energy, to my teacher Nichidatsu Fujii, and the Buddhist Universal Prayer per Nichiren’s Prophecy.

Inspired by the Triple Sai Baba Avatara, this book is an appeal for the America Peace March to the White House, a Peace Prayer Walk from all American City Halls, on behalf of the American Peace Movement, to implement the list of Critical Peace Issues in this book.

These issues include ending Human Trafficking, and ending 100 years of illegal secrecy about the available Free Energy Technologies to replace nuclear and fossil fuel energy technologies and eliminate poverty worldwide.

Most importantly, to end warfare forever by restoring awareness of the inviolably sovereign Great Law of Peace, which works everywhere all the time for everyone like gravity. This is the True Dharma, the Will of the One God, the Torah, the inviolably sovereign Law of Nature, using the power of Divine Love (Prema) of Blessed Jesus Christ.

Susan Parker Jones is the author of The Wholehearted Child, a Nationally Certified Counselor, Accredited Enneagram Professional, and Trainer. Susan guides others to enhance their professional skills and personal self-care so that they can authentically live their ONE, WILD and PRECIOUS life! As a person who experienced the "hard places" in her own childhood story, Susan understands the struggles of perfectionism, self-doubt, and faulty thinking. She is devoted to helping others mindfully develop their three centers of intelligence, IQ, EQ, and GQ. Through the Wholehearted Connections programming and resources, such as the Enneagram Typology Profile, TBRI strategies, and Attachment Theory, she serves others to achieve both personal and professional growth. Susan lives with her husband, Drew in 'Horse Country' Shelbyville, Kentucky where she has a private practice. They are proud parents to 7 grown children! When she can, Susan heads to the Pacific Northwest where she enjoys all the beauty and adventure it can offer!

When what gives way to why

Childhood & the Enneagram serves as an innovative guide for parents and caregivers, offering invaluable insights into raising resilient, self-aware, and compassionate children.

Drawing from a blend of attachment theory, childhood development, and the transformative power of the Enneagram, Susan Parker Jones shares a philosophy and approach rooted in her experience as a psychotherapist specializing in childhood trauma and loss.

In a world where parenting advice often feels overwhelming and one-size-fits-all, Susan offers a refreshing approach that blends ancient wisdom with modern insights.

Inviting parents and guardians on a transformative journey of self-discovery and compassionate parenting, she empowers caregivers to understand their children’s unique personalities and needs on a deeper level, fostering authentic connections and resilience from an early age.

Susan emphasizes the importance of nurturing children’s three centers of intelligence—head (IQ), heart (EQ), and body (GQ)—to cultivate “wholehearted connection” while instilling the truth that every child is brave and worthy of love and belonging.

Caregivers are invited to embark on a journey of self-discovery, exploring their own childhood narratives alongside practical strategies for guiding their children.

Ultimately, this helpful guide equips caregivers with the tools and insights needed to navigate the complexities of childhood development, fostering deeper connections with their children while prioritizing their own well-being.

By embracing this journey, caregivers can aspire to raise resilient, empathetic individuals prepared to face the world with courage, wisdom, and compassion.

When what gives way to why

A complementary guide to The Wholehearted Child, this workbook was written for children ages 5-12 to be used in connection with parents and professionals to help build social/emotional competency and wholehearted connections.

Kids will be introduced to their three centers of intelligence, the wholehearted guideposts, and strategies to gain emotional intelligence. This workbook provides conversation as children learn to identify emotion, regulate their body, and tame their ego dragons.

Allison Doss is a woman who has defied the odds and transformed her life through resilience, self-love, and unwavering determination. Once trapped in the grip of addiction and homelessness, she broke free and now embraces a life of sobriety and self-discovery. Allison now uses her unique style to help others as a Recovery Coach & Transformational Speaker. She believes we all have the power to reclaim our lives, trust ourselves and create a suture filled with authenticity, love and personal fulfillment.

When what gives way to why

With introspection and compassion, The Unbossing takes you on a surprising and chaotic ride that ultimately results in Allison’s freedom from expectation, resentment and an immense trust of self and God.

A woman with BOSS DOSS inked across her knuckles is not a woman used to things not going her way. Piling more tools into her “Controlling Others” tool box was more her style. After decades of party girl turned prostitute, she regained some semblance of sanity. And, because she was now sober, thought it could only go up from there.

She had everything under control— her sobriety, her career and a journey-affirming new love. However, it didn’t take long for her state of nirvana to rapidly disintegrate after an unexpected confession from her husband.

Unflinching and deeply moving, The Unbossing is a front row seat to the raw and unfiltered account of a self presumed Boss exhausting every bit of arsenal she had amassed to force her husband back in the box she constructed for him until the chaos forced her to surrender to the fact that she had no control over anyone...and never did.

With introspection and compassion, The Unbossing takes you on a surprising and chaotic ride that ultimately results in Allison’s freedom from expectation, resentment and an immense trust of self and God.

Pretending normal. Have you ever been there? Partner Betrayal Trauma is one of the most devastating challenges a relationship can face. When sexual betrayal strikes, it shatters every part of your being, leaving you feeling broken and alone.

The experience is isolating, chaotic, and overwhelming. It’s a roller coaster of emotions—rage, bitterness, resentment, and profound sorrow. It’s a pain that seems impossible to share or explain. The reality is you are experiencing deep pain that results in your mind and body leaving you with a second betrayal. Shame keeps you isolated and makes you question if there is anyone you can turn to.

Unlike other forms of grief, no one is bringing meals, asking how you are doing, or embracing you tenderly. Amid such darkness, Anne shares her personal journey of betrayal while leading us through a Bible study on Psalm 107. She offers hope and healing by pointing us to God’s unchanging goodness, even in our lowest moments.

Anne shows how God provides a pathway from despair and confusion to His guiding hand. She leads us from the depths of darkness into the light of His truth. Through God’s Word, our broken emotions can be restored. No longer adrift in the stormy sea of recovery, we can find refuge and healing at the foot of the cross—a haven where we are no longer alone and isolated but found.

Anne has a passion to help other women see the goodness of God even in the midst of deep betrayal.

COVID, A Love Story: An Inspirational Memoir of Survival, Faith, and the Medical Miracle That Defied the System

When the COVID pandemic struck down her strong, athletic husband Drew, Maria was forced to say goodbye through a hospital window. Doctors placed him into an induced coma on a ventilator and gave him little chance of survival.

Before going under, he promised, “
I’ll beat this.

“I’ll be with you at this window every single day until you wake up,” she whispered back.

What followed was a true story of hope, faith, and love that defied science and surprised every doctor and nurse who witnessed it. Drew endured a collapsed lung, multiple infections, seventy days on a ventilator, and complete paralysis.

The medical system urged her to remove life support. Instead, Maria fiercely advocated for alternative therapies. To help keep her faith, she turned to God, angels, and the power of prayer.

Their sacred promise to one another—and an entire community that lifted them up with undying support—became the lifeline that carried them through the darkest hours.

Drew’s near-death experience and strong will to live propelled him beyond what we think the human body is capable of. Against impossible odds, Drew survived. His recovery was nothing short of a medical miracle.

This inspirational story takes readers inside the ICU during the pandemic, exposing the harsh realities of hospital COVID protocols while revealing the extraordinary resilience of the human spirit.

This is the author’s first memoir, and in it she exposes her fears, obsessive behaviors, and guilt in a raw and honest account. You’ll witness her transformation from scared advocate to a fierce warrior, fighting for the man she loves.
